Softball

I hit the softball
it went past the base in field
I ran to each base

I caught the softball
my hand felt sweaty in my glove
I ran between base

Why it is important to have 8hrs sleep

The human body is like a machine it works hard for us every day. When the human body is rested, the body repairs itself, while we sleep.

Lack of sleep can increase a person's risk of developing medical conditions such as obesity ,diabetes and heart disease.
Eating healthy nutritional food and drinking plenty of water with exercise is a good way of looking after our body.

When people get the sleep they need, they will not only feel better, but will also increase their odds of living a healthier, more productive lives.

how I spend my holidays

We have holidays so we can have a break. We need a break because we can go and visit the family and give our brain a rest.

How we can spend our holidays?
I was cleaning the house and backyard and I got paid from my Mum and Dad. I went to Mcdonalds to have dinner,
and I went to go and play rugby with my cousin. After that I went home to have a rest.

How I spend my holiday ?
I had a family reunion at Tonga With my Dad and Mum’s family. We had fun at Tonga and we were swimming at the beach. We went back to New Zealand and we went home for a rest.

Dear Miss Anderson

Thank you for all your hard work in organising speakers for our Career days. I appreciate you taking the time to make sure that everything was set up before the speakers addressed the students.
It was interesting listening to all the different stories and how each person achieved their goals through hard work, determination, and having family support.
I have started to write down my own goals that I am working towards, and hope that one day I will have a successful career.
Yours sincerely
Mangila

Dear Mrs Tofa

My name is Mangila. Thank you for taking the time to come and talk to us about your career as a teacher.

I found it really interesting  when you talked about how your parents sacrificed everything to give you a better life in NZ.

Also, that it took a lot of hard work on your part to achieve the goals you had set for yourself.

Yours sincerely

Mangila

In this explanation I will be writing about the rules for fishers. I will also mention the three different types of fisheries and their value.

Supermarkets rely on commercial fishing to supply their stores. Recreational fishers can only take what they catch depending if the fish is the legal size. The minimum size fish we are allowed to catch is from 25cm to 40cm .People must check what the rules are for the area they fish in. People who break the rules are called poachers. Poachers who  steal fish threaten  the fishing industry when poachers take more fish than needed there will not be enough fish to go around this why we have fishing rules in nz.

Water Fun Day

Wednesday 19 February 2014

On the 7th of February from 9 clock to 11:00
the first activity Kauri and kowhai went to was the obstacle race course. They had to fill a cup full of water and cover the top with their hand to prevent the water from tipping out and crawl under the bench, than rush to the colored buckets and back .

Mrs Tofa blew the whistle and she said move onto the next activity Rata, Kauri and Nikau slide down the water slide and ran to the bucket and pour the water into the bucket after the water slide they moved onto the zigzag race than the sponge activity.

The title of the activity described the game perfectly so theres no need for explaining through  the legs was the next activity all you do is pass the sponge through your legs and over your head once it passed down to the person at the end of the line that person runs to the bucket and squeeze all the water out .

Our next activity was the 2 armed race and we have to have a partner and wrap your arm with your partners and run to the bucket and pour the water in to the bucket and give the cup back to the people.

All four groups finally reached their last activity which was walk the blank. its similar to the obstacle course but instead of crawling under the bench you walk over it. I had so much fun and it was so cool.
