This week we learnt how to write persuasive writing. This is my writing.

Topic: Children should work from the age eight.

I disagree that children should work from the age of eight.

First, children are too young to work at that age.

Second, children should go to school instead of working.

Finally, children need to have a childhood, and be kids.

Children have a right to enjoy life, and be happy.

Our Exciting Netball Session

WALT: Write a recount

SC:  It must have at least 6 different sentence starters and 2 examples of direct speech and a simile

Room 7 had a netball game with  coach Gina and we had to get into 3 groups. James f, Siotame, Kerisimasi, Ilalio,

Kyana and Nunia were in my group. We had to get into our position and we were not allowed to push or fight.  I passed the netball to Nunia and she passed it to Kyana and she got the ball in the hoop.  At half time some of us were subbed and got off the netball court. Finally at full time team NSW came 3rd and the Under Dogs came 2nd. Team Qld came 1st and we went and had a drink of water and then we returned to our game. Later on when I  came from a drink the talented Nunia got a goal in the the hoop. My heart was beating so fast from all the exercise, I felt the sweat trickle down my back in the bright sun.  At last the bell rang and we went to morning tea and went outside to play.

Title Tread light caravan

Orientation: who, what, where? Room 7 went into the hall for their turn to look at the Tread lightly Caravan on Monday the 20th of May 2013.I was enjoy in my tread lightly caravan

Events: what happened?we play geckos and vines First.....we had to roll the dice if you get 5 you take 5 step and when they ask the question Then.....you have to roll the dice again if you on the finish you win. Next.....we have to move to another activities.we went to the microscope which.we went to pedal power. Finally.....we went to lunch and eat. we went home.

Conclusion: I thought that........geckos and vines game was snake and ladders

During the school holidays I went to rugby training. We played against Manukau Rovers rugby team and won.	Dad and I watched the Senior rugby teams play after my game. The match was between University and Pakuranga .	I received the player of the day trophy.I felt like I was six feet tall.
My dad took me to kfc to celebrate . I was looking forward to eating a big meal.	My family and I were so full from eating KFC we decided to go for a car ride to Mission Bay.	Our day ended with Dad driving us home. I was tired and fell asleep on the way back .

On Sunday I went to Mothers Day at church .Everyone wore their nice clothes. All the Mums looked beautiful all dressed up. The church choir sang a special song for all the Mums . I gave my Mum a necklace. My Mum was so happy when I gave her the necklace .She had a happy Mothers Day . We went to KFC and after that we went to McDonalds  .  We went home our tummies full from eating too much food.

in the holidays i went to rugby  training on tuesday and thursday and i had a game on saturday.  we won the games and i got the player of the day.we went to mcdonalds and my dad ate the whole burger. we went home .

Ryan the fierce searched in the dark woods trying to find his friend Jack. Jack was also a tiger. He was only two years old with strong teeth and a shiny golden striped coat. Ryan heard a noise coming from behind a big grey rock. As Ryan moved closer, he saw  Jack had his paw stuck in a trap. ‘Help me dear friend” “he moaned. Suddenly Ryan saw a tall hunter in a green jacket approaching them.Ryan pulled and bit the rope that was attached to Jack's paw.There was a loud roar as Ryan made a final tug to set Jack free.The two tigers raced off thru the forest back to their cave.They feasted on juicy deer steaks and then went to the nearby river for a drink. They were safe and licked their huge paws before they went to sleep.

A DISFIGURED MAN STOOD IN THE DOORWAY HOLDING A MACHETE , READY TO ATTACK MATA

A SCREECHING SOUND COULD BE HEARD FROM WITHIN THE HOUSE . MATA SCREAMED AS HE WAS  DISMEMBERED BY THE DISFIGURED MAN. BLOOD AND GUTS AND BODY PARTS WERE ALL OVER THE FLOOR. POOR MATA THAT WAS THE END OF HIM.

“HEY WAKE UP.....” YELLED SAM AND MATA FELT HIS WARM GRIP ON HIS ARM. “OH I HAD THE WORST NIGHTMARE EVER!” EXCLAIMED  MATA. “GO ON TELL ME ALL ABOUT IT OVER BREAKFAST” LAUGHED SAM.

THE Zoo keeper’s friend

First a smertly dressed European man came into the lion cub enclosure. He is a vet and a friend of the zoo keeper. His name is Jimmy.  Then he came to give some special drops of medicine mixed in milk to the lion cub who was sick. Soon it felt better. Next it began to play with it’s brothers.
Finally, Jimmy the kind vet played with the cubs out in the warm sunshine. Tt felt as  hot asan oven.

We all thought that it was a great day for visitors.A day to remember humans and animals playing together.
